animated backgrounds

hey
ok in the skin directory i went to background folder and put all the wmv files i could download from that website link you posted.
i went to the screen properties in the editor and chose the wmv file for the background.
nothing happens.

if i choose any of the jpg's the screen changes , but nothing when i choose the wmv.
is there another part of that configuration to get the animated backgrounds working

Are you using the current version of xlobby, 3.0.9024.5. This is the only build that will allow this. Its under your My xLobby or Mantis accounts.

yes i downloaded the latest version of XL
explain step by step, what you did to add the animated background, and where the wmv file was placed.

maybe i have to update something on my end, driver or codec.
what renders the wmv files in the background, that would give me an idea of what needs to be updated.

are these exe files cumulative, or do we need to download each one?

i reinstalled latest version of media player and poof, all set.
