RSS News Feeds - Are they Customizable?

Postby McReidy on Fri Nov 02, 2007 12:40 am

Im a noob to XLobby and have a possibly very simple question..

I would like to change the source of the News Feeds and haven't been able to find much about it in these forums..

I am assuming it needs to be an RSS feed - so the one I want to change to is

http://feeds.news.com.au/public/rss/2.0 ... ews_32.xml

Can someone please tell me first of all if I am on the right track using RSS feeds (this one is from http://www.news.com.au) and if so how to go about implementing this..

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Absolutely RSS feeds are very customizable...go to your setup (Press F2 button) and you should be able to easily see what you are able to do.

Welcome to xLobby!!! Enjoy!!!

Hi,

I got this far from the first post, though thanks for confirming I was doing it right. After setting up an RSS db (bbc.co.uk - sport) I thought that would show up in NEWS on the main menu or have I missed the point here. If not how do I go about accessing the RSS feeds. Thanks.

Use the skin editor and go to your RSS screen (news screen) then change the database field to your custom RSS feed and it will show up.
