Default Button

So here's a question... in setting up a keyboard overlay on my skin I was able to assign the "A" key as my default key, and when the skin overlay comes up the A key is in fact highlighted.

I'm trying to make my skin remote friendly however, and even though the "A" is highlighted, I cannot navigate from it. The only way I can resume navigation is if I mouse over a letter. Any thoughts?

aside from being the default key, is the key navigable? that's also a check box by the default one. And on the 'Navigation' tab are directions disabled? Try forcing it to have certian left right up down actions.

The Key is navigatable via keyboard, and is a nav item, it's navigation is hard assigned with the navigation tab, and it is the only default item on the overlay.

There is a secondary overly, in which no item is marked as default. I wonder if that is stealing focus?

If I set a default item on That Second overlay, it will indeed highlight and let me navigate from there. I'll probably just go with that for the moment.

(This is based off Colby's skin2, for the moment, where he has the keyboard "search" as one overlay and a secodary panel comes up and changes the filter options depeding where you are at in the skin (an interesting idea)
Maybe there's a way to reprioritize the overlays...

Good question. Is it?

In steven's simplicity skin he uses multi-layering as well, you might could check it too.

I also remember reading about overlays and remote navigating. There was some trouble before. I thought that bug was cleared up.
