Help each other out

Radio

Postby csvencer on Thu Sep 14, 2006 10:26 pm

I have searched through all of the forums and the more I read the more lost I get. I am slowly learning how to customize XL for what I need, I am using the generic basic skin with no radio screens, and now would like to add internet radio to it. What do I have to do? I am using WinAmp to play my music and have found stations that I like on shoutcast, but how do I integrate them into XL? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I understand it all but I just can't get that program to work. It pops open and closes immediately. Any suggestions....???

Rather follow these more modern instruction on this thread: http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4574

all u need to do is basicly run that plugin and create category for resulting database.

Got everything working thanks to all the help. The last problem is minor but I was wondering why the title of what is playing doesnt' update for like 3 songs, it is always a couple songs back. As soon as I open up the skin editor to mess with it, it updates the titles, but during normal operation it seems to be delayed. Any suggestions???

Thanks.

Sounds like screen refresh problem... small plugin which calls invalidate() on timer??

hmm or mayby u could cheat the system, by putting something with periodic updates like xclock plugin sufficiently close song name, so that when system calls invalidate() to clock, songname gets invalidated too... haha worth of testing :P

Dont do that... i was just kidding a little... It might work but in that case clock would need to be under the song name!

but this brings up idea though... mayby badubo could make possible to run clock in other mode, in which it would update whole screen once per second instead of just the area of clock... then if these kinds of situations happens... its just matter putting clock on screen.

and yes it is plugin... dont tell me u have plugin-phobia ;)
