I've been playing with the xnet stuff and am liking it alot.
The main think i don't like is the need for a full blown windows machine to act as a zone. I've come up with the idea to use either some NetStreams SpeakerLinX type things, that use urls sent to them to control them, or some other network remote controlled player. theres a really cool linux one that i can't remember the name of.
I want to have small boxes in each zone, which only have CAT5 cable running to them and a speaker comming out of them...
SO heres my request
can we have a generic music plugin/dll like the foobar one, but it reads a config file for the commands for each function.
Is the source code for the foobar pluging avaliable?? i had a quick search but didn't see it. As i would have a play with writing this plugin over xmas
