by makutaku on Fri May 26, 2006 7:14 am I have a desktop and a PVR. Here's a simple scenario that's not supported by SageTV or JRiver and I wonder if Xlobby supports it:
Use Case: Creating playlists on desktops and consuming them on the PVR:
1) In my desktop I have access to songs in a shared network directory;
2) I open WMP (or another client) and create a new playlist (or open an existing one);
3) Then I save the playlist in the shared folder;
4) While I look for the remote control, Xlobby detects that a new playlist was added (or an existing one was changed);
5) Using the remote that I just found, I press a button to go to a playlist page and the new playlist is already there.
6) At this point I may want to either select the new playlist to play or click to open and see its content.
Is this supported ? Most of the current players expose implementation details (such as library database, etc) that just get in the way ...
