Importing music question

Hi All,

I was wondering if there was a way to import music without XLobby putting everything in an album format.

My directory structure looks like this:

X:\Songs\Artist1
Artist2
Artist3


Within each of the "artist" folders I have various songs by that artist. I'm not really all that big into listening to albums and so I just have the .mp3s directly inside the folders of the artists. There are no sub-directories lower than ArtistX.

What I want is for XLobby to show me a structure identical to my directory structure. Artists would be at the top and then I could use the directional buttons on my remote to scroll amongst the artists. When I clicked on an artists name (which would basically be a container for the mp3s, just like in Windows) the mp3s would be listed inside and clicking on one would cause it to play, queue, etc.

I have attempted to import the songs into the music database with different combinations of the built-in options, but with no luck. If somebody could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont see why your structure is any different than others, or why it wouldnt import properly. My music is organizeds artist/album/tracks, however I have some random mp3s, that are in a folder called mp3s, no album level, mine imported fine.

I would make sure you are importing music properly with the correct template, metamasks etc. I will look and give you an exact protocal.

Yeah, it's still not working for me. I have no idea why. Do different skins make a difference?
