Xoapweather does not appear to update....

I can select my location, it seems to do an initial data dump for that location and display it on the screen, but it will not do any subsequent updates.

When I check the log, it would appear to at least attempt an update by the following lines in the Event Log:

wxupdate: Immediate weather update forced
wxupdate: Starting weather forcast data update
wxupdate: Retrieving weather data for CAX0518
wxupdate: Retrieving weather data for CAX0184
wxupdate: Requesting screen update

It will do a whole bunch of parsing. At times the log indicates that a wxupdate command will respond with "Next weather data update at 10/4/2005 4:03:52 AM" or with some other time (that was the most recent attempt).

I am trying to set up my own weather skin and I'm using the Heavy Metal skin to verify. I even click on Refresh in the Heavy Metal skin that should force an update

If anybody could please help, I would be most grateful.

I've been having the same problem for a while but haven't had a chance to do any troubleshooting. My first guess is that the plugin is gettting screwed up by me putting my system into standby mode (S3). It seems that if I tell the system to never standby the weather gets updated correctly. Any chance you put your HTPC into standby mode?

Sorry that I never got back about this problem. But I more or less gave up on that plugin. I set an Xlobby weather page up using Samurize with a weather plugin. That was a cool project and worked rather well. I've even gone to the extent of trying out Meedio. I like their skin (was using the HDeeTV skin), and their weather plugin, but there are other things that are drawing me back to using Xlobby.

I am now going to try and desin my own skin...hmmm, something that may look similar to HDeeTV. Compliments to the designer of that skin.
