Possible to Maximize XLobby with Keyboad shortcut?

Postby jlr2000 on Sun Sep 17, 2006 9:33 pm

I've searched around and I can't seem to solve this one....

I know I can minimize XLobby with the "Home" key on the keyboard, but is there any way to maximize it again? Keyboard shortcut? Tip or trick? 3rd Party add-on to do so?

Any help is appreciated.....

Thanks!

You can use girder to send a maximise command to xlobby. This could trap a specific keyboard shortcut that you define and then maximise xlobby whenever you press it.
In my setup when I press the menu button on my remote it maximises xlobby and returns to the main menu.

I do use Girder, but I'm not sure how you are accomplishing this. Can you give additional detail and/or share your gml file that does this? It's simple to assign a remote key to "HOME" to minimize XL, but "restoring" or "maximizing" it back to full screen is where I seem to be stuck.

Thanks for your reply and any additional info you can provide!

On Girder 3.2.9 (which I use) you need to;
1) Learn a new event associated with your remote key or keyboard shortcut. (If you are using a keyboard shortcut you may need a keyboard plugin installed - I can't remember)
2) Select window commands in the bottom right of the screen, one of which is 'Maximise', you need to select this command and then 'target' it to the xlobby window by pressing target and then dragging the crosshairs over the xlobby window.
3) Press Apply

This should now have associated your remote key or keyboard shortcut to maximise xlobby.

I can't get to my GML file at the moment so can't send you the details but hopefully that is enough info.
