USB-UIRT Offline?

Postby jagerball on Sat Nov 18, 2006 9:47 pm

I had a very happy Xlobby setup until I decided to upgrade to Xlobby2.

Since then my pronto/girder/usb-uirt combo does not work within Xlobby. No matter what I do the usb-uirt plugin reports as offline.

So far I've reinstalled from oldest to newest files. Today I uninstalled and reinstalled clean just the newest .exe, but no change.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

If you are using girder to send messages to xlobby you should disable the USB-UIRT plugin in xlobby - it is not needed. Also, the window name of xlobby changed in the .net2 versions so maybe your messages from girder are not getting to the xlobby window - check that girder can find the xlobby window OK.
If you are using the USB-UIRT plugin in xlobby I can't help as I don't use it, sorry.

Not very helpfull...

But i can confirm that the usb-uirt plugin is working fine if you use it directly.

I use it with xremote and dont have any problems.

So no one knows why the USB-UIRT plugin is offline in Xlobby?

I know it was a problem before with the .exe, but it was fixed. I'd look elsewhere for the problem, but this is the only thing that has changed in the whole setup.

I seem to recall needing to copy the latest USBUIRT dll to the XLobby directory. I found Baddabing's fix here: http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2168&highlight=usbuirt+dll

Beware, I am not sure this is the latest version of the DLL, but the concept is correct. Copy the DLL to the XLobby dir. Hope this helps.
