Two Database Questions

Postby Vintage1945 on Thu Jan 27, 2005 8:47 pm

Hi all --

Two quick things I want to make sure of before I go wasting time tonight messing things up :P

1. When importing roms into a db I need to have the images in the same directory and have the same file name as the rom correct? (so they are linked automatically)

2. For my roms, I need to create seperate db's for "best", "good", "all" (best_nes, good_nes, best_snes, etc. )and new screens for each, then put them in directories such as:

c:\nes\best
c:\nes\good
c:\nes\all
c:\snes\good
c:\snes\all

And drop the images in each directory as needed correct?

Thanks for the help, just makin sure I understand how the db system works.

One mroe thing, I have over 560 box/cart pics for NES and if anyone would like them let me know.

Also if anyone has the SNES/N64 box/cart pics I would be forever greatful. I dont want to have to manually d/l these. But if I have to, anyone here is welcome to them.

Or can I specify the images directory in the import field?

that seems logical after thinking about it :P

If you can wait for one week, I will give you a link
And I think you should wait for an application that we are trying to built, Ithink you will be happy and that will give you free time.... :)

Thanks for the offer, but I'm impatient as they come. Right now im doing it manually, but I would love to use the application if I don't finish.

I have all the pics for nes/snes/n64 from funcoland.com (1,300+), but I haven't finished renaming them yet. Anyone is welcome to them, and if someone wants to host them, let me know :D

It's the least I can do to give back to this kickass app.

we will need some pics to finalize our database, so maybe we will ask you for these... or maybe I will ask to everybody if anyone want to help us to finalize the databases...
