Help each other out

dvd profiler, movie info

Postby tatatoothy on Thu Mar 03, 2005 3:05 am

I can see all the images correctly, but when I select a movie, I don't see the movie description. I believe the info dowloads from dvd profiler, am I missing a setting?

Check the database:
Hit F2, select the Databases tab, select the "movies" database, click on Edit, select a movie title under "items". The right window should show the fields (name, title, plot, etc..) and their corresponding data.

If the data shows correctly, try adjusting the window that displays the data in the skin. On your Movies page where the data should be, hit Pause/Break, click on the blank window (where the data should show up) and try adjusting the size of the window or the font size.

What skin and resolutions are you guys using?

movie info

Postby tatatoothy on Sun Apr 24, 2005 9:19 pm

for most of my movies, it only lists name, title, and sort title, but then for some reason bruce almighty has all the info I'm looking for, genre, plot, etc.
I added the fields, selected add all, but no info populates. do I need to remove and readd? using dvdprofiler if that helps.

Jowaldo's new skin,

Do the other information (genre, plot, etc..) show up within DVDProfiler? If it doesn't, then you need to configure DVDProfiler.

If the information does show in DVDProfiler, in Xlobby, go to Setup by hitting F2, select Databases, select the Import tab. If not yet selected, select the Movie template and at the bottom you should see the DVD Profiler Settings. Make sure that under Folder, the correct path to DVDProfiler is listed (ie. by default, C:\Program Files\InterVocative Software\DVD Profiler ). Below that, in XML, also make sure that it points to the exported DVDProfiler xml file. Click on "Import" and it should import the movie information from the xml file. You might need to refresh your movie database to show the new information.

Hope it works out. Let us know how it goes.
