Stand alone skin editor?

Is there a stand alone skin editor or XLobby, because i'm having a hard time doing it in XLobby while it is running.
Also, could use some help on making a skin...
or if someone has it done already

I have a 7" lilliput Touchscreen, on my MP3 Jukebox,
will also have an IR remote
I have a large amount of Music so it needs to be easy to search and find, I kinda like the layout of The PC Jukebox software, but that software is slow, and i also want to have Visualizations(screen saver pretty much) when idle

buttons need to be bigger and there will be no keyboard or mouse, just touchscreen and IR remote... if anyone could help, that would be great,
Would be best if there was an External Skin editor.. thanks again

i'm slowly working with the build in Skin Editor, but have a question.
Right now i am just editing a current skin and i only need the music section of it, how do i delete those pages?

There's no need to delete the pages really.
.... but, if you really want to ... go to "Screen\Edit" and just click on delete screen. Oh yeah , even easier, you can also go to the particular skin's folder with windows explorer and just delete the screens you no longer want
What may be better, is to delete the buttons to the screens you no longer need on the menu, or maybe just hide them.

yeah, after fooling around with stuff, i just went into the skins folder and deleted the files i didnt need, i also deleted the buttons that went to them also... I've been editing the MC 16x9 skin, taking everything off i didnt need and making buttons bigger for the smaller touchscreen...

is there an easy way to add a visualization(full screen) on XLobby, and have it go to full screen after 30 seconds of idle?
and also have a visualization on the Now Playing screen?
and now i need to try adding a search menu on the music section...

I'll be adding a winamp visualizations button to the 'Now Playing' page, just hadn't gotten around to it yet. I don't know about the timer, if someone knows and easy way I can implement it I will.

Hey Naylia,

On the controls popup for the music, can you add a Volume Up & Down?
Also can you add a search for the music section?
another nice feature for the music section is, instead of listing all the albums, they should be listed by the Artist
i will be fooling around with it, but i'm not totally sure what i'm doing

but as the visualization goes, i know you can just add a click button that opens up winamps visualizion in full screen, but i can only exit it by pressing esc on the keyboard, and that wont work with a touchscreen... hope this helps...

the vis. is in the music section area in the skin editor...

Search is coming eventually, I just haven't gotten around to it yet

volume up down I'll look at tonight if I can...they'll probably look like the pageup/down buttons and be labeled volume

i'm not sure how to help with exiting the vizualization from touch screen, you'll have to ask the others how they do it

i could use the remote, but in reality that is just a pain if i cant do it both ways... yeah, i'm looking into it right now... along with the timer... cause i thought i saw somewhere there was a timer event on someones skin...

Might be kind of a pain but for the timer, you should be able to use girder to set a timer each time a key is hit, if timer gets to 30 then you open Winamp viz fullscreen.

The second part would be that anytime you open Winamp viz fullscreen, you set Girder to watch for keyboard press or mouse click - on click disable the viz.

Here's a girder forum article about doing this sort of thing for putting a system in standby (http://www.promixis.com/phpBB2/viewtopi ... oard+timer).

Should work, in theory....
