Black screen with Jowaldo skin! Help

Hi All,

Just looking at the latest status of the Xlobby development.

Updated to pre28 and the visual skin I use was fine.

Then tried to use what I believe to be the latest version of Jowaldo's skin and I get a black screen!

Help!

Any ideas out there?

I don't know why but sometimes if I run certain skins from a shortcut I get the black screen you are talking about. Try running Xlobby from the folder you unzipped it into if you haven't tried already.

Eventually found other thread that states problem is due to my extraction of jowaldo.zip creating

xlobby\skins\jowaldo\jowaldo\skin_file_here

instead of

xlobby\skins\jowaldo\skin_file_here

doh!

Maybe we need a skin not found dialogue!

agree, skin not found error and indicating to the user to verify skin is in the directory specificed would be good...

yeah good idea.. sorry if that works weird how i zip it, but i usually just put the jowaldo/ folder as the root in the zip.

so the zip should be extracted to the xlobby/skins folder not xlobby/skins/jowaldo since the jowaldo folder would be created automatically

also I update my skin pretty often, so make sure you use the latest exe's steven posts on the forum, not just what is on the downloads page if you want to make sure everything is functional
