viewsonic v110- redirection HELP

Postby Jwizo on Fri Jul 21, 2006 7:30 pm

Hello All

I have my airpanel v110 connect to my htpc computer via RDP to run xlobby client (not web) but the problem is it streams the audio to the airpanel instead of playing it through the stereo?

Any idea how to redirect stop the redirection?

If I run xlobby at the computer and not at the airpanel it allows me to hear the music through the stereo via the computer.

i briefly looked into this before, but couldn't find a way to get the sound to come out the pc you are remoted into... since it really is controlling a remote session, not doing something like remote assistance where both sides see the same thing.

Unless your airpanel uses a modified rdp type of connection.

Maybe I'm wrong as I don't have an airpanel. When you launch RDP don't you have an options button before you select what client to connect to? If you do click it and then click on the Local Resources tab. From there there is an option for Remote computer sound, use the drop down arrow and choose Leave at remote computer.

Hello

On the air panel there is not full RDP app it is limited and there is no local resource tab as it does not have the full RDP program loaded on the airpanel. UGH ..

So I do have a solution but I don't like doing it. I have the airpanel connected to another computer and then we use radmin to connect to the HTPC. Messy but that does solve the problem.

If you guys have any other ideas appreciate it.

Regards
Jim
