Insteon ordered - interface with XL?

As I am finding myslef adding more controllers and responders.. has this process been made any easier in any of the updates?

It is still the same, unfortunately insteon had changed hardware when we were writing the plugin and it will be a major redesign to do what is necessary to make it the way we want.

What sort of changes? Will my existing hardware be obsolete and incompatible with the new hardware?
Should I bail out of Insteon and move to another product that is better integrated into XL?

Your hardware will be fine in the future. The changes we want to make will improve on setup and integration of insteon into xLobby. Basically its a complete re-write of the lighting service for insteon to make the process of adding devices and groups easier.
