Getting Theater Tek to Play DVD Rips in Video-ts folders ?

Postby Nubio on Thu Dec 28, 2006 3:42 pm

I have Theater Tek set up with X-Lobby to play DVD rips. It will play ISO and IMG files no problem, but I can't get it to play rips stored in just Video_TS folders. If I select such a movie, TT launches, but the movie doesn't start, instead usually the last played movie plays (ISO or IMG format).

I believe I have the right file type associations (ISO,IMG,video_ts,IFO) set up in both WinXP & TT, but I am not using any command line with TT.

Do I need some special command line to play rips in Video_TS folders?

p.s. I only had a few movies in this format, so as a quick fix I packaged them as ISOs and now they play fine

I used TT to play all my dvd rips. I had setup a file type event for my movies. I know it works, here is a related post.

I setup one command for .iso and one for .ifo. One command line parameter you need to add is the /autoplay i believe. I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World right now so don't have access to my setup. I won't be home for several days so hopefully Colby's link will help you. I do remember having to play around with the order of the %parameter% and /autoplay. I don't think I use %playlist% for the .ifo files.

Thanks guys for the advice.

Colby, I eventually found your post after starting this thread....have not had a chance to try the commandline switches you mention, but it does sound promising

For ISO images, I have an entry with these command line switches:
/AP 2 /nosplash /pl %playlist%

For IFO files, I have a seperate entry with these command line switches:
"%parameter%" /AP 2 /nosplash

Both work perfectly, and since the order is different depending on file type, you do need 2. Before I added the second entry, TT would open, but nothing would happen.

HTH! :D
