Can you use your own WEB cam/ip cam with Xlobby.

Hello.

I was wondering if I bought some web Cams around the house if I would be able to view these web cams in Xlobby.

I see there is a web cam area but they are more global web cam and not home local web cams for your house.

Please let me know if this is possible or how I would go about adding it?

Is there a place to enter the web cam's IP address?

Atleast its simple directly trough Dshow, u could make custom graph with graphedit for zoomplayer and make a category of these dshow graphs for cams. There might be easier ways too... but this is the one i would start to ponder...

Wow, that is a serious work around.

Do you mean there is not a simple " Security Camera" area?

I mean if Xlobby can look at global web cams, I can't believe it does not have a input for security Camera IP address.

If there is a suggestion box, I would sure like to add this one.

Actually i think it doesnt count as work around, i think thats well in the terratory how xl was meant to work, but like i said there prolly is easier ways, but we'll have to wait for the experts...

Just do a search of the forum for webcam.
Basically substitute your internal webcam ip in place of the global one.
For streaming:
If you can see it on the web you can see it via xlobby as you can have xlobby show web pages.
You can use free webcam software to serve the webcam and access the page(s) from xlobby.
