Xlobby is running as a shell, but...

I followed all the instructions and got XL running as a shell.

Nice I thought, no more XP sticking its head into sight.

However, when I try to play a movie, I get decoder errors from Zoomplayer.
Does running it as as shell cause these problems? I can not believe so as other people seem to be doing it okay.

Where did you read the instructions for running xlobby as a shell?
I tried setting the custom user interface in gpedit.msc but on startup I endup seeing just a black screen even though xlobby2.exe is running.

Ok I got it working I found some threads that indicate you need to create a lnk to xlobby and point to that. Then it works for some reason.

Yes zoomplayer works for me. Although I'm launching it externally via girder, since I don't store my dvds on a hard drive.
