this was exactly my fear when the offer came out, there was no real timeline for the new software and no way to know what features would really make it into the final product, not to mention the quality of that version.

I have a real hard time buying things before they are ready.

Wow, it's only been 2 weeks and people are worried ! We expect to have some early test releases out by the end of December. If something is ready before hand, we will be posting details on xLobby version 3 on the xLobby website of forum. The website over the next 1-2 months will be changing and evolving with further details for version 3 related updates and news.

Thanks for supporting xLobby !

Well I'm worried I won't have sufficient time to tinker during the holiday season. The in-laws think I'm a weirdo for sitting in front of my computer for hours swearing and cheering...

Join the club....my wife thinks I'm nuts after the kids go to bed and I stay up to 3:00am working on the HTPC downstairs. You know, they may be right ?

I program for a living, I then come home and after being the family man for a few hours I'm stright back to either working/gaming/htpc-ing or all 3. My favourite freebie from my Nerd conference in Barcelona last month was my Microsoft Geek t-shirt - very apt!!!

same here, up to all hours tweaking. Wife's fine with it as long as I'm not working on lighting stuff. kinda gets ticked if I'm turning lights in the bedroom or the hall on and off while she's asleep hehehe

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

LOL. Try testing multi-zone audio stuff and forgetting to turn the amps off or the volumes down. Can get real ugly. Not to mention I have 3 outside zones. Really pisses of the neighbors :)

And yes, add me to the list of 3:0am-ers. I think it's genetic...

Oh yeah...one night I was doing some work on the music-server, and I bi-mistakenly switched all zones to the tuner input without even thinking that I should have turned off the amps...ugly was an understatement...and the couch was not very comfortable to sleep on either.

So, I guess what the band-of-brothers here are saying is we have some free time (midnight to dawn) to play with Version 3 when pre-released. :D
