How about Actor info does that import and does any one think a plugin for
profiler would be good or bad , i dont know if this is easy or hard to do but would be very slick i think.

Definitely Issues Here...

Postby dknight on Mon Jan 17, 2005 8:21 pm

I'm using the latest "experimental" xlobby2 exe and there are definitely still issues with the DVD Profiler import (latest version). I have about 380 movies in my DVD Profiler database and only about half of them get imported. Also, some of the movies get imported 2 or 3 times (they show up multiple times in the XLobby database).

Steve, i'd be happy to send you my exported XML file for testing if you'd like.

Steven, did you notice that the director info in the newest DVDProfiler is now listed under the section "Credits" as I outlined in my above post?

I can confirm that this is still a problem, the latest exe does not fix all the issues.

Problems I can confirm are:
1. Director information lost for all DVD's
2. Newly added DVD's coverart do not initially display, you just get the default white box but not with the associated no cover action to display the movie name, so xlobby must know it has a cover and is having trouble with the path. Upon entering setup (F2) and clicking edit on the movies Db to find the offending DVD to check the cover path, this seems to rectify the issue and covers are now displayed.

FYI, DVD profiler now sees to put 2 dots in the random generated name, maybe this is causing some issues with Xlobby.

BUMP

Just would like to hear from Steven that he's aware of the issue... this is a big bug for me since it makes importing movies impossible right now.

Thanks!

Ok just got a chance to download the new dvd profiler, I can confirm the directory bug, that has been fixed.

This other bug about the covers....

Upon entering setup (F2) and clicking edit on the movies Db to find the offending DVD to check the cover path, this seems to rectify the issue and covers are now displayed.

do you mean you dont even point to a new cover location you just load up the editor and it fixes itself?
