Saving Movies Plots

Is there any way to save the movie plots obtained from spiders?

For example have a .txt file stored in the movie folder in the same way as there is a .jpg file for the cover?

Not much fun when 100's of plots disapear!

Have you thought about using XANT and Ant Movie Catalog, or DVDProfiler?

I haven't used DVDProfiler, but Ant is great, find all sorts of stuff for movies from plot, director, actors, title, ratings to saving cover art, then use the XANT plugin to create your database from the Ant catelog. For every new movie, just add it to the catalog, and restart Xlobby. It will recreate/update the database.

Using one of the above you won't have to worry about maintaining the database manually or finding out a spider has "gone out of business" so to speak.

Just a thought...hope it helps.

There is a plugin for that. It is called Xdbimport or something. It saves all the information in each movie folder and then can rebuild the database should you lose it. Look in the plugins section.

I wrote a plugin a while ago to do this its called xDBImportExport.

It works fine for me, but someone posted a message saying they where having probs...
