Hey, I have the same plasma (LG) and I'm controlling it through RS232, if you want GIRDER definition just say so :-) All you need is girder with serial plugin.

The serial port is broken - im 99% sure.

But if you could send me your girder definition - just for a last try. pilfoldATmweb.co.za

Please do me a favour and check the settings of your plugin so I can check mine.

Basically if the cable is plugged into the panel or just lying loose on the floor I get the same results - ie nothing.

Thanks
Simon

Vicom,

I cheated - Bought a 15" touch screen 'add-on' - From:

http://www.frontier-electronics.co.za/mon904_15frame_onetouch.htm

This is supposed to clip onto the front of a normal monitor. (R800)

I then bought an LG 15" Flat Panel Monitor. I gutted both the monitor and touch screen and mounted them in a picture frame which a friend made.

It was scary as I had to break the brand new LG screen to remove its insides and then rip just the touch panel out of its brackets.

I found that if the touch screen is not almost against the panel it looks fuzzy.

The touch panel is one of the cheaper ones - IE its the plastic flexible type as opposed to the glass heat/resistive type.

I looked all over SA for a touch panel (15") - Most were R8000 +.

Nice touchscreen!
Do you run both the touchscreen and the LG with the 6600gt? and do you use the PC for DVD playback?

Thanks!

Actually my mobo popped last week so upgraded(downgraded?) my graphics to 7300GS card. The LG touch screen is on the primary and the plasma is on the secondary. The plasma has native support for VGA so I don't have to use the TV out function.

The PC plays all my DVD's. I use TheaterTek and get a really good picture.

The plasma does:
1 - Lyrics display (using winlyrics)
2 - Milkdrop display
3 - DVD playing
4 - Photo's display using TheaterTek
