Xkin Test

Postby AirPost on Wed Apr 06, 2005 8:27 am

Need a brave soul or crazy person to try out my skin. Preferably one that uses 1280x720, Zoomplayer and MilkDrop plugin.

The skin is about 65% complete but I just need to know if the executable setup program will work with other pc's without any problems. I will be adding "modules" to this base installation as time goes by. I am currently working on the zone/x-net module.

Please note, this is a 1280 x 720 resolution skin. Using it on any other resolution will mean readjusting the whole thing and will either cause headache or your marriage.

Download Setup File (7.0MB):

Xkin 1280 Setup

Download Add-ins:

Netflix Add-in (320k) *Tip: To reduce startup time, uncheck "load RSS feeds" in Settings

Work together and "leverage" off of each other :) Could make it quicker. Of course, I'm just being selfish

well AirPost looks like he's most of the way there already, and the one I'm developing will specificly target SageTV integration, using the same set of graphics as SageMC, I'll then try to modify it so that I can have themes matching the different STVs, so it's a little bit of a different project

but nice job Air Post, looks great!

Put me in too :D

I use native 720p in my livingroom HTPC for everydaybasis so I guess that will be a good test.
For the installer I have 2-3 Pc's around for testing.
In my own skin I have worked alot on making functioning screens for albumcovers imdb info, rating with stars, and all this with just the remotecontrol.
I feel myself that I am really good on creating skins that have great functionality, but sucs on creating graphics for it.Therefore it would be great to use this skin and I can offer my help to cooperate making this skin complete if you are interessed.

Updated my first post to include the download link.

-Thanks Naylia. Good luck on yours.
-QTips, I might just take you up on that one. I'll let you know. Thanks.
-Thanks Steven for the rank change.

Just wanted to add, if you're wondering how the heck to go back to the main menu or submenu screens - the icon on the top left of the screens is configured to do just that.
