Colby Skin - Broken Movie Filter Buttons

When I select a movie filter button I am taken back to the default movie screen and bounced out of the filtering screen. I thought I corrected it by redoing the events for each of the filter buttons, it works initially but after I go out of the movie filter screen and back in the same thing starts happening. Not sure what is happening??? Help!!! The only button that works just fine is the actors filter button.

Been a while since I used Colby's skin, but I just loaded it up and the filters seem to be working fine for me. Are you sure your movies database has correctly filled fields corresponding to the filter(s) you are using?

This might be your problem. I'd download another copy of colby and compare and/or copy over the events for that page.

I am not having a problem, Is your database correctly tagged? I will check my skin again just to make sure.

I am able to get the filters to work but after a reboot the filters stop working. The thin client doesn't work at all. Should I cut and paste from the default movies_filter.xml file and see if that works?

Not sure what you mean by "tagged"??

If you reboot your movies page wont stay filtered. You would have to filter again.

Sorry "Tagged" means the database has the actual values by which you are filtering. But you said it does filter. So thats not it.

OK let me explain a bit better.

When I open the movies_filter screen and try to search for genre or year, etc. it doesn't work. Then what I do is re-assign the events for each button on the movies_filter screen and it works...right up until the time I reboot xlobby...then I loose the events I redid. I hope this helps.

Also, in my events screen I am showing a movies_filter under movie event and a movies_filter under the skin/movies_filter. Looks like I may have two of the same events trying to execute at the same time.

the skin directory superseeds the other directory. But why do you have eventgroups twice? Try removing the xml eventgroups from the xl eventgroup directory. Leave the one in the skin. then restart.

I am currently updating this part of the skin, just as soon as I get the toggles to do what I want.

Nope didn't work...still having same issue.

I removed eventgroups from default and left the one in the skin/eventgroups. It didn't change anything so I did the opposite, eventgroups out of the skin and put the other one back in default section...then I lost my custom links to the buttons I created, but a few of the filter buttons (title, director, year and rating) began to work...hmm!! I put the event_group back in the skin and I am back to square one...ugh!!

I don't know how it happened but all of my filter buttons were linked to a close overlay event in addition to the filter event. Got rid of the close overlay event (which wasn't there before) and all is well. Thanks for the help.
