Can anybody help with a simpad query

Postby confusedalready on Fri Mar 04, 2005 7:13 pm

Hi guys

I am trying to install the Xlobby client on a Simpad SL4. It is running widows CE4.0. I have installed .net but when I try to run Xlobby2sd I get the message saying that it "is not a valid windows ce application". Anybody got any ideas??? :?:

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Did you manage to get this sorted ? I ask as I am trying to set up my new simpad at the minute and not having much joy. If you have I would be most happy if you could answer a few questions for me,

1) Did you get any confirmation when you installed ".Net Compact" ? I have downloaded it and ran the program, got a message saying it had installed from the PC but can not see any sign of it on the simpad.

2) I get the same message as you saying its not a valid application, did you find a sollution to this ?

Thanks

Stuart

Dalanik,
Excuse me for asking but what exactly is the point of your post ??
I have asked the question to 3 different members who have at some point in the past had a problem installing Xlobby onto a Simpad.

The question was asked on 3 different members threads in the hope that they may be monitoring the topics that they have started and may be able to offer advice.

While the internet and forums such as these can be a very usefull source of information it is a shame when you have to trawl through througly useless and un-helpfull responses such as yours.

Should you actually have any usefull advice to give regarding my problem then please accept my apologies and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have to agree with Dalanik here.

The fact that you asked basicly same question in three threads was totally annoying... Try next time to keep it one post per problem...

Unlike Dalanik im not sorry that i cant help u... with attitude of yours, u dont really deserve any help.

Who cares if it has been posted 3 times? If you don't own a Simpad, then the only reason for reading the posts is curiousity (that's me). I totally see where newstuart is coming from and for the most part, he's calling on the origional poster to respond (with some positive replies he hopes).

You guys are being too harsh and just skip the post if the title has "SIMPAD" in it

Besides, I recall one poster recently that posted every which way under the sun before he started drawing negative comments. It only took newstuart three :?:

Dalanik, I've seen lot's of your responses to post in the past, and you are really helpful. I'm sure you have even helped me out. But lately your posts come across as "a little stressed" about something....hope everything is okay :)

Stressed? Hey, if I was stressed, I'd be using words lik f*ck and who knows what else - don't forget I'm very temperamental person (coming from the Balkans, no wonder) :-)

IMHO, this was very polite request... :-)
