Using Webcam's with XLobby

Postby berniejr on Tue Jan 31, 2006 6:25 pm

I am in the process of designing and implementing my home AV/Security setup based around as the Front end. One of the questions that I have is how I can integrate my security cams into the system. The camera's in question are 4 Linksys wireless network camera's, which were ordered yesterday and shipped today. I know that I can setup the cameras for access via IE or the built-in webserver utility. Once I receive them I will be testing them for use in a 3rd party program called Active Webcam. What are my options for viewing these camera's from within XLobby? Will I be limited to creating a link in the web browser or is there a better/another way?

Thanks in advance for your input.

you can also use XCam plugin or use Vlc by commands lines and, to fix and resize the window, use XMoveWindow plugin.

I don't think so.
