Problems with AAC format

Postby tripster on Sun Mar 26, 2006 8:48 pm

Hi, I'm a total newbie & about to build my 1st HTPC. I thought I'd try Xlobby and it looks good.

My only problem (atm) is that I can play mp3's but not anything encoded in iTunes (AAC) format.

I've tried older versions of Winamp (5.09) and Foobar. Both play mp3's without any problems.

I also installed .NET framework 2.0

I admit I haven't read all of the posts in the forum, but this it where I'm at now.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problems with AAC format

Postby tripster on Mon Mar 27, 2006 7:03 pm

Okay, I'm sure this happens all the time......but I've answered my own question!

I added AAC format to my music database, but Winamp has associated all of my files in it's own format (m4a).

Now it works just fine.

On with the next steps then.

Sorry for the post.
