Help with DVD cover art

Postby davdev on Wed Sep 22, 2004 2:50 pm

Hi All

I just started working with XLOBBY this weekend, and so far things are going pretty well. It's a decent learning curve, but I think I have figured out a good amount.

However, I do have a slight problem. I am using dvd profiler to import all of my DVD information into XLOBBY. It works at getting the text descriptions in, but I am not getting any cover art. I followed this guide:

http://www.xlobby.com/files/jowaldo/doc ... /index.htm

I double checked all of my settings, and I made sure everything is pointing to the correct locations, but no cover art is being imported. When I go into the DB editor, the cover art field is pointing to a JPEG file located in the DVD Profiler XML.

I can get cover art if I download it from the web into a folder and attach it, but shouldn't DVD Profiler be doing this on it's own.

For reference I am using the Heavy Metal Skin, but it also happened on the default skin.[/img]

If you followed those directions, it should import the cover art ok. This could possibly be a bug now. I haven't tried importing anything from that for a while.

I followed the instructions and even re-did it to make sure I set it up right. I can probably add some screen shots when I get home. It's really nott hat big of a deal, cause I have been able to find better cover art with google searches, but I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing

Why don't you just use the built in spider for xlobby to download covers?

spiders are just for downloading coverart and info. hit f2.. go to databases, highlight your movies db, click edit, and the rest is pretty easy to do
