Using XNET but client cannot see movie covers from server

Postby Chazotta on Sat Jun 11, 2005 5:10 am

Can anybody help me with this? I am using my tablet to connect to the xlobby server using xnet. I can see the music covers but not the movie covers.

By connecting to the XNET server, I want to merely use the tablet to play movies on the HTPC. I dont want the tablet to play the movies (locally). Is this possible ?

I want to use XNET (as opposed to thin client) so that I can use all the features of the skin and because the reolution between the tablet and the HTPC are different.

Ok I can now see the movie covers when I connect the tablet via XNET. I simply deleted the local databases on the tablet.

However, when I choose a moveie to play it will play the movie on the tablet - not on the HTPC (the Xlobby server). When I select or play music on the tablet, it will play it on the HTPC. Does XNET enable the control of movies in the same way it does music ? I am not trying to synch zones for movie play - just use the tablet to control movies on the HTPC.

If XNET can do this for music then it should be able to be done for movies too.

Does anybody know whether it can be done now or whether this is a feature request ?
