just curous if its possible to flag dvds. like say im looking through my dvd list and i dont know what i want to watch so i just flag dvds as i go, and then once i finish viewing all my dvds i can press a button called view flaged dvds, and then it will bring up all the dvds i flagged so i can pick a dvd from my manually selected list.

you could probably set up a custom variable, and do a variable set command to do it

i tried setting a flag button to "save to variable" %movies>sorttitle% and named it dvd and on a seperate screen set up an input>text and a set input text to "variable>dvd" except the problem is it will only allow 1 flag at a time, as soon as i flag another move and go to view the 2 movies i have flagged it only shows the last one, which makes perfect sence. is this sort of what you mean? is there another way to do this?

I dont know if it would help you, but I do a similar thing with user rating in my skin. I can set the "stars" and if I wanted to I could custom search or filter the # of stars. Just use variable set to "flag" your movies. Then use a button with custom search command to view what was flagged. Good luck.

I loose my stars when I do a database refresh from my dvd profiler xml file. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

from what i know as long as you dont delete the actual database and just refresh it from xlobby it shouldnt effect the stars.

Yes, but isn't the database overwritten from DVDprofiler on each xlobby start?

That's what I mean...I think the data gets overwritten when the new profiler data is brought in.

well the dvd profiler.xml is but when you import it into your "movies" database doesnt it only update changes? im not sure. i know what you mean but i had my flagged dvds flagged and i imported fresh from dvd profiler and it all stayed.. so maybe im a different case for some reason.

Hmmm...I'll have to take another look at that and get back to you. From what I remember sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn't.
