Well I am not doing anything with Yac so it must be a yac issue. I am just sending info to yac, I am not moddifying yac itself. sorry can't help u there

I was fooling around trying to find a way to make a button event "clear" the CallerID database and category information. However, the only way I could seem to do this was to name the CallerID category something other than "CallerID".

When I did this, it appears I also "broke" some other functionality of the plugin. Items like: (plugin>XCallerID>phonenumber) would no longer display anything (I assume they use a category named "CallerID")

Question for you. Can the displayed category in the CallerID screen be called anything besides "CallerID"? If it cannot (due to how the plugin is written), is there a way you can build in functionality to "clear" the callerid information without re-starting Xlobby or causing it to become unstable (something I have yet to achieve).

Once again I finally got around to messing with this only this time I got it working. There were several issues on my end:

1 - Modem failure so I replaced it with a new internal.
2 - Needed to remove the old modem from XP control panel
3 - Made sure YAC server was not running on the XL server

Viola, it works now. I need to build up some data (calls) and mess with the lookup functions.

It would be great if the lookup was from a different database than the log database. This way I could maintain a list with unique entries. Even better would be if the call log database could selectively save individual entries to the ID database.

Question: Seems like reverse CID US is broken. All numbers come back Unknown from the F2 Plugin test. I am using the latest experimental exe.

That worked to get the USA lookup but it seems the plug is writing the same call twice into the log. This was not happening before. Here is the log on 1 call.

Does the callerid popup twice??If not who cares!!!Just kidding. I haven't seen that behaviour before.

I leave the overlay up for 20 seconds so if it pops two at the same time I dont notice. It does not pop 1 for 20secs then another for 20secs. I am sure of that.

Can u post your log here, cause I do not see your behaviour regarding 2 calls. Sure u do not have 2 modems installed or regged in the xml file?

before i dive into adding this functionality to my setup....

will this pluggie work with VoiP?

i currently use Vonage via cable modem...

i do have caller id feature..

if so...do i need another app to capture the caller id data and this plugin to read and display it in xl?

i think this is a great plugin idea so i hope its possible..

I would look at it this way.

If you have a regular analog handset connected to your vonage router and it displays the CID, then the plugin will work.

The XL server will need to have a modem with a line connected to the analog voice line (easy if you have a voice punch block).

There are other ways to make this work too leveraging YAC but I dont see that as needed if you can make the phone line connection to the XL server.

I have my setup working but it has some bugs and I am still trying to make it really user friendly. I would love it if Lar can add some additional finishing touches to this already nice plug.
