Volume Slider

Can someone explain how the volume slider works? I don't understand why the graphic is allowed to change like that. How is it attached to the volume of the music player?

I have a feeling that it has something to do with the fact that it is an 'xresource' png file. Are these special? I can't seem to find anything about them on the board.

I would like to have a simmular thing for a control of my lights. Slide the control up and down and have the dim level set.

I don't know how it works but that would be a great feature. What a neat idea. And, when XLobby starts, you could have a command to poll the current dim level of the various lights so the sliders would be correct.

Hope someone comes up with a way to do it

As far as I remember, It has 2 png files, one for background and one for foreground. Then, it's ID is volume or something like that, and XLobby knows what to do
