First, find out all you can about your remote. Basically what frequency does it transmit at? The standards are 36kHz, 38kHz, and 52kHz.

You will need a USB-UIRT. I think by standard, they will transmitt at 36-38kHz, which is pretty much the standard. I think some Pioneer's, or Panasonics, or Sony's work at 52kHz if I'm not mistaken.

You will then need to go into the F2/Setup then goto the IR tab. In that section you will use your light remote to learn the different commands.

Then in the event section you will setup events based on those commands that have been learned.

Close the setup screen and open the skin editor (Pause/Break).

In the screen of your choice (may have to goto that particular screen first) add buttons then tie them to those IR commands under the "Event" tab.

Finally position your USB-UIRT towards the light panel, or you may have to connect an external blaster (small plugin at the back of the module), depending on how far away the UIRT is from the light.

You should be good to go then.

But remember, verify what the frequency of the remote signal. You may be able to get the info from the proper tech support of the light panel, or the dirty way of doing it is to build a WinLIRC, and using its software verify that you can get a consistant IR signal for each button.

Hope this helps.
