I am new to Xlobby and can not figure out how to use variables.
For instance, I see how the "Now Playing" screen has a button with
the following text:
"audioplayer>now>%genre%"
Where is this located?

I am trying to do Homeseer integration and from the forums looks like
its easy for Xlobby->Homeseer communication via the hsc command.

It is not clear to me how to do the reverse and what that really means is ensuring Xlobby knows the current status of devices in homeseer before it displays a screen.

Therefore I thought if I can create custom variables in Xlobby like:
living_room_lamp
where living_room_lamp=ON or living_room_lamp=OFF, then I would refer to this variable in the button text of a custom screen.

It is not clear to me how to "create" a variable like that or "assign" it.
Of course then I need to figure out how to communicate that from homeseer but need to understand custom variable capabilities first.

Ultimately I would like to have "conditional buttons" that displayed different images depending on the variable status...but again, one step at a time.
