Control scolling of movie screen from pocket PC

Hey everyone,

I am using the Burlwood skin and have made a few screens to have everything run off my pocket pc, including controls for my cable box and amp and TV. This works well, and my wife likes it to. But I would like to use the pocket pc to control scrolling of the movies screen on the TV, not using a screen on the pocket pc.

Is it possible to do this using global overlays, with the controls on the pocket pc and the movie covers showing on the TV screen?

You should be able to do this by setting the mimic function to true in the ppc servers text file.

if you don't want EVERYTHING to mimic, you can actually set Mimic TRUE and FALSE inside the events (say the ppc_goto movies event, add as the first action, mimic=true then on then you could add an exit screen event that turns it back off. This will keep everything from being mimicked on your server. I do this on a couple of screens.

so, let's say you have a "goto movies" event for the PPC. You can add the goto screen that matches the screen name on your server, after mimic is on, and it will do this on your server. at this point, I believe if you have the controls only on your PPC screen, it will scroll the movies on your main movies screen. You'll need an exit command that will switch your server screen back to the main menu AND turn off mimic. at least this is how I'd do it because i don't want everything mimicking.
