TV funtionality in Xlobby. How?

I've done a ssearch and i'm quite supprised i haven't found it, but how do i get TV & PVR functionality in Xlobby?

I assume this is possible. I am usuing a hauppage WinTV Go, which has a software decoder and so isn't supported by SageTV.

Are there any beginners guides on setting up TV functionality in Xlobby?

the best way to watch tv in xlobby is to use xltv plugin. Works with progdvb or k!tv

argh, k!TV will not start it says there is no video overlay or something like that.

I'm usiing an nvidia fx5600 with the latest drvers. so i don't know what its talking about really.

My captre card ia a wintv go.

SageTV V3 will support software encoders and it is currently in public beta.

it's not a K!tv plugin :wink:

for the moment it support K!TV 2.3.0.1 and progdvb 4.48. so if your card id supported by one of this software, it will works...

there is a new beta for K!tv, and it support pvr 150 but this version is not supported by xltv plugin (waiting for a real release not beta version)...

you can try first the betas on http://usuarios.lycos.es/forumdev/viewtopic.php?t=2918 then wait for a final version, chere you will have a new xltv version.

What exactly is K!TV? I can't find an about section to translate as to understand the benefits/features of this plugin.

I've translated (through babel) some of the posts on the forum but wasn't able to gain enough overview on this plugin.

K!TV is not a plugin, it is a standalone application

the plugin for xlobby that allows to control k!tv directly from xlobby (and its EPG) can be found there :

I finanlly got K!TV to work somehow, problem is now, I have an issuse with xlobby.

Whenever i load xlobby, the splash screen comes up and everything loads, but then it dissappears. I checked under processes using CTL+ALT+DEL and i t is there using about 11MB but its interface is nowhere to be found.

(its not just that version of xlobby either, i unzipped another to a different drive to try to that and it does the same. This also happens in safemode too)

Whats going on here?

EDIT: Turns out its the xltv plugin that is causing the problems. xlobby works fine without that. doh!

you must have the last version of xlobby2.exe and the related sdk

there is a skin named xltv with the plugin : it's a basic skin only to show you if all is right.
I think there is only 2 skins with xltv !

If you succed with K!TV, xltv will work ! read the xltv.doc
