Setup -
Laptop in Den (loaded as a Xlobby server) wtih USB-UIRT attatched to it - controlling the Dish Satellite Receiver using a PPC thin client via wi-fi - Working perfectly.
Computer just built last night - located in the bedroom - on network via wi-fi. I installed xlobby from scratch on this new machine with the ATI Remote Wonder Xlobby plugin. I try to use xnet to control the laptop server to control the Dish Satellite Receiver - no luck. I connect to the laptop server just fine - but can't control a thing. Mimic doesn't work either. I don't even see the new menus on the client that I made on the server (which I can see just fine on the server and use them). I can use the thin client (same exe as the ppc client) - but it's S-L-O-W and not very responsive.
What I'm looking for (and maybe someone can head me in the right direction) -
Computer in bedroom should connect to laptop with USB-UIRT to send IR to Dish satellite Receiver using the Remote Wonder remote control in the bedroom for input to Xlobby. The wife is killing me with the PPC setup - while it works - she fumbles with it and doesn't like it. So I figured I'd use the Remote Wonder to do the same thing so it would be more confortable for her. Any ideas/tip appreciated - looking forward to getting this all going. Thanks for any help ahead of time.
