Pleaseeee Help!

Ok, guys, im kinda new to this whole xlobby thing! Ive just recently bought a htpc and it uses xlobby. The guy who sold it to me, has created his own skin..however what i want to do is change a few things..

Ok firstly he has a menu which comes up upon starting the programe, which read movies, music, photos, and internet.....under movies...a futher 4 buttons are shown, films, search, and two others which i cant remember..

what i am trying to do is change the films button into Divx Movies, and add another button which shows DVD Movies....and how would i get those buttons to show me the specific movies??

For example once i click on movies, i have the option of divx movies, or dvd movies....so if i was to click on dvd movies, all my collection of dvd movies would be displayed, and if i click on divx movies, all the divx movies will be displayed??

any help will be really appreciated, ive tried reading a few topicsl but im kinda dumb when it comes to putting it to practice, so an easy step by step would be a great help thanks.

Basically you will need a database of your dvd collection and a database of your dvix movies. Or If your dvix movies are your dvd collection, they are "online" which can be tagged in the database editor. You could filter "online" movies to show only dvix, or leave the database to show all.

As far as changing the buttons to say what you want I suggest reading my skinning document.

Ok lads, ive manged to create a screen, which shows my divx collection, ive also managed to create a button which is linked to this screen, ..only one problem now, each screen shows me 8 movies, on the bottom there is an arrow indicating to the next page, but, when i click this the page number changes but the movies dont....so im a bit confused, i used the clone screen method to create my screen. i noticed that on the origional movie category it was associated with something known as movieviewer.....do i have to also create a new event movieviewer linked with divx movies??

in the skin editor, you should name your divx category different than your movie category. Now because you have a new category your next buttons will need either to be generic next events or events for your newly named category. In the event mananger you can create category next and/or category previous page events that you will assign to the arrows on your new dvix page.

As far as movieviewer page. That is similar to the album details page of music databases. this page is what is displayed if clicked of a thumbnail. You dont necessarily need it if you want to click and it just play.
