Is Steven gone? Almost a month without a single post!

Postby Aaron on Sat Nov 12, 2005 8:35 pm

I've noticed that in the last 2 months Steven is almost non-existant here... not a single post since Oct 20th.

Steven, if you are still working on XLobby please something. The sound of silence from a coder is rarely good...

I think he's still playing video games, and building some websites for his other hobbies, that was the last I saw. That could easily eat up a month or two.

He responded here yesterday:

I think its exactly what Naylia says. Right now he is taking a break and doing his own thing. I also think he feels that he's got a good strong communitee here and while he's gone we can all help each other.

A good possibility is that when he comes back, he'll bring something to the table which will blow all our socks off and Xlobby will be taken to a new height.

Steve, I hope you are enjoying your time away. All the best too ya. :D

Edit: OOPPSS! he responded to that post above on Wednesday.

nope that post was... Posted: Wed Jul 27, 2005 - not exactly a day or two ago if my Cal is correct ;)

I hope he comes back with something huge... I'm just afraid that maybe he has lost interest in XL.

I'm finally getting to the point where I'm going to build a HTPC and can 'actually' use XL in my home but I'm hoping for a bit more streamlining and a few improvements to make XL the super front-end it can be.

I think its a real worry for XL. It is a truly fabulous program and it would be a real shame to see it run out of legs. What can be done ..? Who can we educate ?

sorry havent been on lately guys, finishing the basement. Yes its true I was playing bf2 for a while and that was sucking up some time....but finishing the basement is really killing my time now...here are the pictures I've taken so far...sometimes I forget to snap some photos so the progress jumps a bit. But it is comming along...framming is almost done...still have a little bit to do. I'm doing electrical and wiring tommorrow.

hey guys, things are taking a little longer then I thought still. Doing the drywall is a bitch, mud then sand...mud then sand...mud then sand....I have to mud the ceiling one last time then sand it so I can prime it. I've uploaded some more pictures to, just check the dec 11th ones. Electrical was also a bitch to do, but the drywall mudding and sanding is the absolute worst. I also primed most of the wall, painting was fun for all of about 10 minutes then it sucked lol. Oh well its getting there, just taking much longer then I thought, I'll be getting some help soon though....but so far I have done everything by myself including hanging the ceiling drywall....which was done with a couple of desks and a ladder :)
