The "YAC" caller ID software keeps a ".txt" call log that I would like to be able to pull up in Xlobby. Ideally, I would like to be able to scroll up and down and delete single, multiple or all entries.
While it is easy enough to open the text file from Xlobby, I was wondering if their was a better way to manipulate text files from WITHIN Xlobby?
Background: I use a PowerHome (home automation sofware) macro to read in the Caller ID information. From there, PowerHome performs a name subsitution based upon the telephone number (just like YAC). PowerHome then speaks the call information to me (over the house intercom system), and also send this information to the YAC server to be distributed to the SageTV, and Xlobby touchscreens (running YAC listener) throughout the house.
While I have looked at the Xlobby CallerID plugin, the above path seemed better for me. Now I just want to enhance how I read and edit the call log.
