How to use foobar 2000 in xlobby.

So you want to use foobar with xlobby?

All you need is the xlobby foobar plugin called "foo_xlobby.dll". These files can be found in the following zip file.

http://www.xlobby.com/foobarplugin.zip

or in your xlobby installation in the "foobar plugin" folder.

Ok so once you have foobar on your system, all you do is put the files in the right spot.

\foobar2000\msvcr71.dll
\foobar2000\components\foo_xlobby.dll

And then just add a foobar zone through xlobby setup (hit F2 for setup) Forgot to mention you can download foobar here,

remember we are using it only as a player...so who cares what it looks like.

just to clarify the above....i'm guessing that the plugin files are placed in the folder you installed foobar in...and not a directory in your xlobby folder called foobar2000

Depends on your soundcard and listening file type choice.

Foobar allows Kernel Streaming for bit perfect output with the right soundcard. Winamp doesn't allow waveout volume control with my RME card. Foobar has replay gain capability.

Failed to load DLL: foo_xlobby.dll

I have just installed Xlobby, foobar2000 (v0.9.4.2) and the plugin. When I start foobar, it is not loading the DLL.

"Failed to load DLL: foo_xlobby.dll
Reason: This component is missing a required dependency, or was made for different version of foobar2000."

Did I miss something?

I'm using (v0.9.3.1) and it works fine. Didn't Steven release a new plugin? Can't remember where I got it from
