for some reason Sendfoucs hadn't always been working for me, found out you could download TweakUI from microsoft and there is an option called "Prevent other programs from stealing focus", you can uncheck this and it may alleviate any issues you may have with the sendfocus app, near-term testing makes it seem to have solved mine (for some reason sendfocus always went to sage and didn't always go back to xlobby) hopefully it fixed it for good

a little news from the Sage folks (this may only apply to V3)...

Set the property:
dispose_windows=true

in the Sage.properties file and then SageTV will give up the focus when it goes into the system tray.

Going to try this tonight in hopes of getting rid of SendFocus, although SendFocus has worked great ever since I made the prior change above in TweakUI.

Are you still using Sage 2, or have you jumped up to 3? I was planning to install 3 this weekend, will that be a problem at all?

Sage 3 works fine under the current version of XLobbyMC and there is a SageMC for V3. However, Sage V3 does fix somethings so I'll be releasing an update soon that has some bugfixes and that will get rid of SendFocus (i hope).

I've been SendFocus free for a week now! It's nice to be able to clean some things up well.

...and it's really freakin dead in here.

Not to make more outlandish promises but I'm thinking of releasing the skin in more resolutions when I finish fixing bugs. 720x480 is an odd shape (1.5:1) and is best for us SDTV folks but for everyone else I'm contemplating adding a 4:3 rez (like 800x600 or 1024x768) and also 1280x720 (cause I'm gonna get that HDTV soon I hope)

Anyone have preference between 1024x768 vs 800x600?

ToDo List: (please add to it)
-Implement all 3 resolutions
-Migrate from XWeather to XoapWeather
-Music Stop on Movie/TV Play
-Radio Page Up/Down
-Font Issues - check fonts all rezzs
-Go through XRemote carefully and make sure fully utilized
-Add more Music Playlist management
-Add Music Searching
-Maybe some Spiders
-Multi-room Audio
-Volume Bar
-My Pics section
-Settings - Stats page
-Multi-Theme script
-SageClient script
-Play Trailer button

-XLobbyMC-Lite
-XLobbyMC-Mame

-Readme of XLobbyMC specific setup info

Anything else on the wishlist guys?

I've been thinking and unless there is huge demand for 1024x768, 800x600 may make more sense as I find the skins tend to scale up better than they scale down.

I use 1360x768 as it is my native pj resolution. But if you have a 1280x720 and it can scale larger I'd be happy.

Secondly, I've been wanting to run Xlobby on one of those 7" LCD touchscreens that run off a vga port, like a Liliput screen.

In the end what I am trying to get is everything on the 7" LCD touchscreen, except for the actual video display. Kind of like running powerpoint in presentation mode where the presentation is on the projector, but the talking notes, etc are on the laptop screen. Does this make sense?

I think the only thing really missing is the EPG data. Is there a way to embed the Neilm webserver epg stuff into the skin so that we can get EPG recording info?

thanks,

yes i'm preparing for an HD display sometime in the future so figured while i'm at it I should rerelease in multi-res, personally i want a nice 1366x768 50" plasma but i'll have to save a little more first, i'll probably do 1280x720 though since so many people and hope it scales up well

what res is the lilliput at?

The lilliput I have is 800x480 ...

I'll second the request to get the program guide and all from Sage onto the second monitor... That would be SWEEET... Myabe when Sage lite becomes available (TV ONLY) they will communicate how to get the data to work with other front ends...

could probably kludge together something that uses xmovewindow with the webbrowser but i don't think it would be clean and it certaintly wouldn't let you select which show to play

until the interface gets better back and forth between sage and third parties I think i'll be leaving it as is, where sage opens for it's share of the work
