Boosting the IR signal for USB-UIRT

Here is my deal. I have a server rack in the basement. My IR block and USB-UIRT are downstaris in the cabinet. I have a Sony STRDA5000ES receiver on the main floor about 50 feet away. I have run a 50 foot mono and a stereo cable from the server rack to the receiver. I have plugged in a IR eye to the receiver and at the other end I have it going through a IRT and into a russound 857 IR block.

Problem, if I use a 30 foot cord between the block and the IR eye it works, anything over 30 feet won’t send the IR signal to the receiver. Is there any type of booster or repeater I can use to amp up the IR signal?

What type of cable are you using to go 30 ft., your most likely experiencing loss due to the cable. You should try using Cat5e UTP solid cable to run the 50 ft, use one of the four pairs. This should solve your problem. If you still have issues there are some products available to extend the distance.

I have tried cat5 as well. What products would boost the signal?

I can usually run signals up to 100 ft. with to problem. You could use calrads 40-DA01 solution or the Hot Link Pro device, see the links below. If you have a diagram of your setup and wiring that you could show me, I could be more helpful.
