Have tried to get xnet control working on my network with the ultimate aim of controlling xl via my palm pda. Palm pda has a web browser built in and I can surf the web via a bluetooth link to my wireless network. I have not tried this yet but that is my ultimate aim.
When I set up the xnet server and access it from another pc on my network I see the xlobby interface in my internet explorer browser from my other pc and can press buttons etc and control functions (start and stop music etc) - for a while and then the browser window locks up and further control is not possible.
Have setup xl xnet controls to use port 8000 and I access xl by typing http://192.168.1.1:8002 as indicated in one of the threads in the forum. It seems to work fine for a while and then it locks up.
I run xlobby on win xp mce edition. All latest updates etc I have tried switching off xps firewall and have told xp to allow access on ports 8000 and 8002 (to see if that helped).
Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
