Problem with opening movies within zoomplayer

Postby nrj0122 on Wed Jun 14, 2006 2:02 pm

Question/Problem:

When I select "Movies" from the main xlobby screen, a list of movies from my HD populates and then I can choose which one I would like to watch, I then select that movie, and then select "play", which then automatically opens up Zoom player to view the movie, however, after zoom player opens to view movie, nothing happens. In order to get it to work from this point, I have to "right click" on the zoom player screen, select "open file" from the menu/options that pop up, find my movie I want to watch on my HD, and then selct the VIDEO_TS file within the VIDEO folder, and then it starts up with no problem. I do have all my media files associated with zoom player, so that isn't the problem.

Any ideas on what sort of options/settings I need to tweak with from within zoom player to get a movie to start right away after I click on it within xlobby movie menu screen to play the first time? Or is the problem in Xlobby not zoom player?

Using Simplicity skin

Any help is greatly appreciated-not very familar with advanced options within zoom player- so any info in detail on how to do it would be great.

*Note (the movies that I seem to have the above problem with are ones that I have "backed up" onto my HD after shrinking them to less than 4.7 GB. No real problems (as mentioned above) with original movie put onto HD with no shrinking. Either way though, both types of movie files are set into VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders after putting them onto HD)

Hi,

I have come across this problem a couple of times with both ZPlayer and Theatertek.

You could give the following a try:

In Zoomplayer set-up make sure it is in advanced mode, click on 'Settins', click on the 'Playback' tab and then ensure that the first check box next to 'Auto-play on open' is checked.

In Xlobby hit F2, scroll to file types and at the bottom right of the window there are 2 buttons, one for Start Event and the other for End Event. Highlight Zoomplayer in the top pane and then click on the 'assign' button underneath 'Start Event'. Click on the arrow next to 'Skin' and scroll down to Zoomplayer. Click on the arrow and then scroll down to 'play'. Highlight and then click 'select' button. You can do the same for 'End Event'andchoose close.

I hope this works for you.
