TVMan: TV Episode Database Importer

Xlobby plugin development

Postby Jarrod on Fri Oct 20, 2006 4:23 am

No new updates yet. Still deciding whether to use the database as mentioned above. I think I will update it to use that, which should also make updating only new content much easier.

Sounds great...If this turns into what I see it becoming with the updates you mention, it will definitely shift me over to XLobby as my media front end...which is something I've been searching for for awhile since meedio went...well...to hell.

New version!

Postby Jarrod on Mon Oct 23, 2006 1:49 pm

New version released: v0.5

New in this version:
- Added partial and full rescan options. If the full rescan checkbox is not selected, TVMan will use the existing data in the chosen XML file. Any new files will be added by rescanning the entire season the files belong to.
- Stopped renaming of any files which span multiple episodes.
- Any files which span multiple episodes will be highlighted in purple.

Bug Fixes:
- Removed buggy percentage complete code.

ToDo: (still...)
- Add feature to download stills

I have got a problem with Prison Break. The "plot" tag, "gueststar" tag and "recurringRole" tag are incorrect.
example :
Code: Select all

            <parameter />
            <coverart>D:\TV\episode_unknown.jpg</coverart>
            <information>
              <plot>Bellick, now teamed up with Michael, Lincoln and Nika, sets out to find the money stolen by Westmoreland during the 1971 skyjacking.

Kellerman targets Sara, who receives a long-awaited phone call. T-Bag gets a ride from an unsuspecting family. Abruzzi resumes the search for Fibonacci to settle the scores once and for all.</plot>
              <gueststar>Kristin Malko (Debra Jean), Peter Stormare (John Abruzzi), Estella Perez (Recovering Addict), Larry Dotson (Recovering Addict), Barbara Eve Harris (NA Group Sponsor), Danielle Divecchio (Sylvia Abruzzi), Matt DeCaro (Roy Geary), JB Blanc (Jerry Curtin), Demi Lovato (Danielle Curtin)</gueststar>

Please let me know if the issues you were having have now been sorted. I hope the high number of views and low rate of replies to the thread means that its working!

It seems to be having an issue parsing apostrophe's (''s).

Code: Select all
[10/24/2006 11:40:17 PM] System.Xml.XPath.XPathException: '//item[parameter='\\Htpc\E\Videos\Comedy\It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia']' has an invalid token.

   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseLocationPath(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParsePathExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseUnionExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseUnaryExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseMultiplicativeExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseAdditiveExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseRelationalExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseEqualityExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseAndExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseOrExpr(AstNode qyInput)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathParser.ParseXPathExpresion(String xpathExpresion)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathNavigator.Compile(String xpath)
   at System.Xml.XPath.XPathNavigator.Select(String xpath)
   at System.Xml.XmlNode.SelectSingleNode(String xpath)
   at TVMan.mainForm.recurseFolders(String root)
   at TVMan.mainForm.StartImport()

I've seen this as a problem in a module/plugin coded for MediaPortal as well. Hopefully it can be resolved or something figured out to get around it.

Other then that it's working great it seems - seems to be working faster then before as well.

The apostraphe error should be fixed now. Download from the first post again and let me know how it goes. You just need to replace the exe file.

Thanks for pointing that out, none of my TV series have apostraphes in their names!

Would have had this fixed 10 mins after you posted, but my damn FTP client crashed and needed to be reinstalled :shock:

Haven't tried it yet - I need content first!

But I'm definitely interested in its development and can't wait to try the partial rescan option.

Yeah, the support and development on this plugin is just way to damn slow :roll: hehe.

I'll test it out tonight when I get a chance. My HDTV tuner card arrived though so...I want to install that also :).

Just for your info...I've tested 0.6, it's superb !!!!

I'm know using it for multiple databases, for adult tv series, kids tv series, DVD Box Sets etc etc.

I've made a donation, please keep up the good work !!!!
