XLobby hangs on "Preparing to start"

Maybe somone had a similar experience...

Yesterday I bought and installed Cordless Freedom from Logitech. It installs drivers and a tray-program to map keys to games. It works fine with MAME.

But when I restarted my HTPC, it hung on "Preparing to start" screen. I tried several reboots, but it was the same.

Only when I disconnected the USB receiver from the HTPC, did it manage to start XLobby.

What on earth does cordless joystick has to do with XLobby??? Why would it prevent it from starting??

Maybe there's a conflict with the USB-UIRT plugin. Try and temporarily rename the plugin to something else, and then have the joystick connected when starting up XLobby.

That's the first thing that occured to me, but the fault is elsewhere. I moved all plugins from plugins folder and returned them 2-3 at a time, until I found the cause.

It all works OK, mind you, when I start XLobby, and THEN connect the joystick receiver.

It's, believe it or not, XVis plugin (or the BASS library)! I dunno what this one has to do with USB, but somehow it hangs XLobby, when joystick is connected on startup...

Anyone any clues?
