2 music pages 2 views

Hi
Can I have ONE music database if I want 2 music pages with diff views? One for regular albums and one page with artist structure? Or do I need 2 databases for this?

1:st view:
artist1
---album1
artist1
---album2

2:nd view
artist
---album
---album2
---album3
artist2
---album1
---album2

Does anybody have a skin that uses artist
--album
--album
view? that way I can see how u guys did it. The skin doesn't have to be done or so, I just wanna look at the music page.

This is a music DB in Artist>Album format:

Artist level:

Album level: (this is what you see after clicking on the artist

The up arrow in the lower right corner brings you back to Artist level.

cool, so what happens if u click one more time on the album. Does it open it and show the songs? Is that skin downloadedble so I can see?

I went to Thanksgiving dinner... and shopping with my wife on Black Friday (blech!) and then a day of recovery and playing with my son.

In answer to "what happens" ikt's incomplete due to a feature request, but at the moment (if the Open radio option in the upper right is on) clicking the album goes to a new page containing a larger album cover and the track list.

The skin is not downloadable because apart from weather and music it's utterly untouched, and my bro-in-law is working on buttons to replace solid blue and green radio buttons.

I'm making steady progress so it shouldn't be too long.

I believe that skin is based on early version of my Visual skin :-)

You can download newer version that works exactly the same: lists artists, then upon clicking on artist opens it's albums, and upon clicking on album, opens another screen with individual songs.

mind that you have to import your music collection as artist->album->song (under database import).

Ayup, I started with .20 because I liked the layout, but at the point it's all pretty much redone. New backgrounds, new buttons, some new layout in a few places too.

Gotta start somewhere, right?
