how to get coverart working with spiders

Postby billberet on Wed Oct 22, 2008 3:19 pm

ok i've looked at documentation and experimented and no coverart.

can someone explain how to get coverart, which spider to use, how to configure the spider (if needed)
and is there any (F2) configuration that needs to be done to get coverart working.

**as a test**
i tried at work, and it works.
now i have to figure out why.
i just imported the new album and the artwork was present.
*****
the only real difference is the paths
or is it a port issue, does something need to be opened on the router?
on my test machine the music path is c:\music
on my production machine it is \\bbserv\music (i used a share drive so fat clients can connect and see the music)

does anyone else have coverart with shared drives as the music path?

thanks!

My server is Vista and my path is \\music-pc\music. Path is shared.
I am using the commercial ver of XL.

No F2 configs, didn't touch router.

ok when i add the music, no cover.
if i go into the music database, and click on spider tab, and choose music:amazon.com, i find the coverart.
manually i can grab the coverart, but not automatically.

is there a configuration somewhere that i need to put (movies*)
so it searches all the movie spiders?
maybe i cleared out something when i wasn't supposed to.

i seem to have the best luck with amazon.com
how can i have this be the primary spider when xlobby searches for coverart automatically?
